A. Everything I've had at a Hooters is good. However the hot wings and hamburgers are the best. And yes, guys do go there for the food. However the waitresses are nice on the eyes and very friendly in Boston.

How does Hooters get away with their hiring practices?
Q. I am a young male, so I am not complaining about them nor do I wish to get a job at Hooters. This question is strictly out of curiosity and boredom. The law (at least in California) states that employers may not discriminate based on age, sex, etc. So how do Hooters restaurants get away with only hiring young, attractive, well-endowed women as servers? What loophole have they found that allows them to do it?

A. They hire men as well, but hire them as cooks and dish washers and such. Men can still get a job there, but Hooters generally claims that the men who apply have no experience with serving, or something like that. Also, a lot of people don't care to argue the point, because no one who eats at Hooters wants to see a male in tight shorts and a revealing shirt.

Q. UPDATE: To clarify, I wasn't referring to the waitress's boobs or what they are wearing, just the general question of what restaurants have cute waitresses? I don't care if they're dressed casually or wearing a uniform or whatever. Besides the emphasis on boobs, the girls at Hooters are generally prettier/cuter than waitresses at other restuarants, in Denver. In other cities such as LA or Atlanta or Orlando, there are cute waitresses everywhere. That doesn't seem to be the case in Denver. And no, no fetish, they're just easier to date than women in clubs, etc. Saves a lot of time. But not when you can't find any. And Hooters waitresses are just hit on so much they're almost impossible to date, not worth the huge amount of additional… [cont.]

A. Once you work at a Hooters, you will not want to work at any other restaurant. Regular restaurants require longer training and sometimes testing, at Hooters you train quickly and the menu is easy so you can start earning right away. Plus it is way more fun and relaxed environment, you can sit down and chat if you feel like it. People who think Hooters is for dumb bimbos simply haven't worked there. it is not just a place for men, at my store it was mostly families coming in! I worked at Hooters for 2 years and I loved it! A. Because different regions have a different cost of living, you should call the actual location that you are wanting to use. Talk to the manager and see what type of birthday party "specials" they offer. I do know that they do offer some free stuff for your birthday, but again exactly what probably depends on the individual location. I tried to find something on line, but could not find specific prices anywhere.

Why has Hooters become a blue collar restaurant?
Q. Hooters has seem to become a blue collar restaurant. My my brother-in-law, his co-workers, and myself went into a Hooters on Friday during happy hour. We were all still in our ties from work. When we walked in, there was nothing but all blue collar workers in the restaurant. They even gave us nasty looks and the waitresses weren't that friendly either. What happened to Hooters?

A. Hooters has Two seperate divisions. Hooters America is one division and Hooters USA is the other. They share some policy regarding uniforms, but with the pantyhose it depends on which division you work for as to the name brand available. The Better of the Two Hosiery Brands required by Hooters in my opinion is Tamara. They are comfortable and make my legs look awesome. I wear these with a work at a Bank. I stand all day long and they are excellent support hose. If you are active or on the go all day like me, you will love these pantyhose. A. Its fine, we go there often. Its not the den of iniquity that people think it is. Would you take your kids to the beach? They'd see more exposed skin there. Edit: There are OFTEN children there, they have a kids menu, and on certain days of the week kids eat free. I would challenge these other posters to actually GO to a Hooters on a night where kids eat free. You'll see kids there, guaranteed. I wonder what people think is so inappropriate. Drinking? Chili's is a Bar & Grill, and you'd take your kids there. There is drinking at every restaurant you'd attend. Attire of the girls? Shorts and a tank top is inappropriate for children to see?
